Big Drama 2yo scores decisively on Gulfstream turf

Santi Knows Best took the lead soon after the start and never looked back on route to a 4 1/4-length maiden special weight tally Saturday over the Gulfstream Park West turf course.

After making his first start sprinting on the dirt, the 2-year-old Big Drama colt turned in a much improved performance going two turns on Saturday. After tussling with He's the One for the first five furlongs, the dark bay juvenile pulled away impressively in the stretch to win easily.

The winner is owned by his breeder Harold Queen and is a full brother to the stakes-placed 3-year-old filly Colombian Queen.

Big Drama has been ranked in the top three among Florida's Second-Crop sires all of 2016. He has 36 winners and five stakes horses to date, including 2016 multiple stakes winner R Kinsley Doll.
