Big Drama colt dominates Los Al maiden

It's Just Bob swept to the lead at the head of the Los Alamitos Race Course stretch en route to a commanding 2 3/4-length maiden victory on Sunday. The 3-year-old topped a 1-3 finish for offspring of Big Drama, with Beaumarchais narrowly beaten for the place spot.

Champion sprinter Big Drama, a top-10 Freshman Sire of 2015, ranks in the top 5 this year on the Florida Second Crop Sire list and has a pair of stakes performers already this year.

It's Just Bob, owned by Endless Summer Racing, Tom Mansor and trainer Jeff Bonde, was bred in Florida by Verbarctic Farm. The dark bay is the first foal out of Margie's Magic, whose dam Is That You is a sister to multiple stakes winner Sing Me Back Home.

It's Just Bob was purchased by his trainer for $110,000 out of the 2015 Barretts May 2-year-old Sale.
