Big Drama filly shines in first turf effort

Zofia's Prayer made her first turf outing a winning one on Thursday at Delaware Park with a 3 1/2-length maiden special weight score.

The 3-year-old daughter of Big Drama, who was a solid third in a pair of dirt outings prior, was on top from the start of Thursday's five furlong affair, hitting the wire in a solid :57.60 under a hand ride.

Trained by her breeder Gerald Bennett, Zofia's Prayer is out of Bucky's Prayer, a three-time stakes winner of nearly $300,000.

Big Drama now has 30 winners, second most of any Florida Second-Crop sire and also in the top 10 nationally.
