Big Drama homebred tallies second straight win

Determined Lady continued her successful run on the Gulfstream Park turf course with a two-length allowance win going a mile on Thursday afternoon.

The 3-year-old Big Drama filly has won three of her past four starts on the Gulfstream lawn. She is Big Drama's leading earner through the first half of 2016 and has helped put the Bridlewood stallion near the top of the Florida Second-Crop sire list.

As she has done in her previous starts, Determined Lady sat a few lengths off the lead before putting in her patented late run under Eddie Castro. She covered the distance in 1:35.40.

Owned by her breeder Harold Queen, Determined Lady upped her earnings to $107,560 with 10 top-3 finishes in 12 starts.
