Two MdSpWt winners in two days for Big Drama

Big Drama, the Champion Sprinter of 2010, got his first winner on June 14 when Office Drama was named the winner of a maiden special weight at Presque Isle Downs and followed up with his second winner just a day later over the same track.

In Sunday's action, after getting away in sixth early, Office Drama began to make up ground quickly around the turn while going four wide. Full of run in the stretch, the dark bay filly was rapidly closing in on PTO’s Babe, who drifted out badly and impeded Office Drama. Following a stewards review, Office Drama was placed first (VIDEO).

Adam Rice trains Office Drama for Clyde Rice, who bought her as a weanling for $20,000 at the 2013 Ocala Breeders' Sales Co. fall mixed sale. Bred in Florida by Kirk Laneve, she was produced the stakes-placed Tamayaz mare Demetra's Love.

On Monday, Save the Drama used similar tactics as Office Drama, building momentum on the turn and into the stretch, to win his 4 1/2-furlong maiden special weight contest by a neck (VIDEO).
