Determined Lady wins third straight turf allowance

Big Drama's 3-year-old filly Determined Lady continued her Gulfstream Park turf dominance with a third straight victory on the grass on Thursday afternoon as the 7-5 favorite.

In fifth for the first six furlongs, Determined Lady came off the rail with about three furlongs to travel, going three-wide into the lane to wear down Byegone Days and come home a 1 3/4-length winner.

Determined Lady has now won four of five races since a brief freshening in the spring. She upped her overall mark to 4-3-4 in 13 starts and has banked $133,960 for owner/breeder Harold Queen.
