Drama Club too good in Gulfstream turf maiden

Florida’s second-leading First-Crop sire Big Drama racked up his ninth winner on Saturday when Drama Club rolled to a 2 ¼-length score in a five furlong turf maiden sprint for 2-year-olds.

Battling for the lead from the outset, Drama Club took over in the turn and never trailed again, covering the distance in :57 seconds flat.

The winner is trained by David Fawkes for Sandra New and was bred in Florida by Carl Bowling.

Big Drama’s impressive list of winners is headed by Tribal Drama, who has already amassed $209,000 in earnings and a win the $300,000 Affirmed S. at Gulfstream Park.
