Knight of Drama scores by five at Del Mar

Knight of Drama made it two straight victories on Aug. 12 with a dominating 5 1/4-length allowance win at Del Mar. The 3-year-old son of Big Drama has been off the board only once in seven lifetime starts following Friday's convincing score.

With a record that includes a third-place finish in the $100,000 Barretts Juvenile S. last autumn, Knight of Drama has really blossomed over this summer, with Friday's Del Mar tally his first outing versus older horses.

The dark bay was bred in Florida by Valerie Ammirato and Jessica Lafferty and is out of Technical Key, winner of the Wayward Lass S. Her five foals to win have an impressive 32 victories between them.

Big Drama continues to rank in the top five on Florida's Second-Crop Sire list; he is currently second by winners and third by progeny earnings.
