Shanghaied KO's foes by 6 in maiden win

Big Drama wrapped up a stellar month of maiden winners when Shanghaied overwhelmed his competition with a 6 1/2-length maiden score on May 31 at Fort Erie racetrack.

Shanghaied was the eighth maiden winner of the month for his sire, giving him 20 overall in 2016, second-most on the Florida Second-Crop Sire list.

Shanghaied is the latest of four foals, all winners, out of his dam Shanghai Rose, who is a sister to Grade 3 winner Malakoff. The 3-year-old, bred in Florida by Diana Wellman, is trained by Nick Gonzalez for owner Martha Gonzalez.
