Bridlewood grads score Tampa MdSpWt double

More Than Kisses and Big Papi, a pair of Bridlewood training graduates, both tallied maiden special weight victories Nov. 30 at Tampa Bay Downs.

More Than Kisses, a 3-year-old filly by More Than Ready, kicked off the Bridlewood double with her three-quarter length triumph in race 3 at one mile on the turf (VIDEO). The winner is owned by Robert and Lawana Low and was bred in Kentucky by Jerry Jamgotchian. More Than Kisses sold for $250,000 at the 2015 OBS Spring 2-year-old sale.

Later on the card in race 8, Big Papi, a 2-year-old Scat Daddy colt, scored impressively by 5 1/4-lengths in a swift 1:10.74 for the six furlongs on the main track (VIDEO). Big Papi is out of Little Green Light, who is a sister to four stakes winners, including multiple graded winner Too Much Bling. Big Papi is owned by Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, who purchased the chestnut colt for $200,000 at the Fasig-Tipton Midlantic sale in May of 2015.

“I would like to thank Jonathan and his staff for the great job they did for our clients. I think it’s a testimony to our facilities and what we’re trying to do,” said Bridlewood General Manager George Isaacs.
