Bridlewood Farm focused their attention on one filly at the July 14 Fasig-Tipton Summer Selected Horses of Racing Age sale in Lexington, going to $320,000 to secure hip No. 327, the 3-year-old filly Paradise Alley, a daughter of Flower Alley out of the Canadian Horse of the Year Sealy Hill.
Consigned by Taylor Made Sale Agency as part of he Melnyk Racing Stables dispersal, 3-year-old Paradise Alley is a half-sister to Hilaby, who also sold for $500,000 in Monday’s auction.
Sealy Hill was one of Canada’s most decorated horses of the last decade. In addition to her Horse of the Year honors, she was champion 3-year-old filly, champion grass mare, and winner of the Canadian filly Triple Crown, earning $1.74 million in her illustrious career.
