A colt from the second crop of Bridlewood stallion registered the fastest quarter-mile of the day during Thursday’s Under Tack Show ahead of the June 9-12 OBS Two-Year-Olds in Training sale.
Hip No. 297 consigned by Kenneth Davis & Sherry Mansfield’s Hawk’s Nest, covered the distance in :20 3/5. The chestnut colt is out of the stakes winner Prized Informant and is a half sister to stakes winner Wise Answer.
“When I bought him as a yearling, I figured he could do it,” Davis said of the colt’s work. “He must have been perfect today because he laid it down.”
Chitu has a total of four lots in the upcoming sale, which begins daily at 10 a.m. ET.
