Corfu filly brings $130,000 at Midlantic Sale

A filly from the first crop of Bridlewood stallion Corfu brought $130,000 during the first day of the May 22-23 Fasig-Tipton Midlantic Two-Year-Olds in Training sale.

The dark bay filly, hip No. 66, was consigned by Bobby Dodd, agent and went to Carl Moore Management, LLC. The filly’s dam, multiple winner Royal Damsel, has produced seven runners to date, six of them winners.

The New York-bred filly is from the same family as multiple Grade-1 placed Wild Desert and Grade 2 winner The Carpenter.

Corfu, whose first foals are 2-year-olds of 2017, is standing this year at Bridlewood for $3,000 live foal.
