Save the Drama was a clear-cut second in Saturday’s $100,000 Mountaineer Juvenile S. to become the first black-type horse for Bridlewood Farm’s champion stallion Big Drama.
With his first crop racing in 2015, Big Drama currently ranks fifth on the Freshman Sire list. With four winners from just seven starters, his strike rate of 57% is higher than any sire in the top five.
Save the Drama now has a win and two seconds in three starts. He is owned by Clyde Rice and was bred in Florida by Kirk Laneve. His dam, Powerful Two Punch, is a half-sister to four stakes horses, including Grade 3 winner Femma and the stakes winner Chief Cashier.
