Pretty Mischievous scores pretty upset in Kentucky Oaks

Bridlewood Farm graduate Pretty Mischievous Scores First Oaks for Godolphin.

In a thrilling stretch run May 5 at Churchill Downs, it was Pretty Mischievous  who held back Gambling Girl  by a neck to hand trainer Brendan Walsh, owner/breeder Godolphin, and jockey Tyler Gaffalione their first win in the $1.25 million Kentucky Oaks (G1). Trainer Walsh and jockey Gaffalione each secure their first Kentucky Oaks (G1) win.

Pretty Mischievous was entering the Oaks off a runner-up effort in the Fair Grounds Oaks (G2) at Fair Grounds Race Course & Slots.

“She just has that cruising speed and it’s like it comes so easy to her,” Walsh said. “I think the blinkers got her to hang in there a little bit more today.”
