Jes Jaa, a 3-year-old son of Big Drama, rallied past a trio of horses in the Santa Anita stretch to score a 2 1/2-length maiden win on Sunday afternoon. The dark bay sophomore is the 14th winner this year for his sire, second-most for any Florida Second-Crop stallion.
Jes Jaa, owned by Hronis Racing and trained by John Sadler, went through the auction ring at the 2015 OBS Spring Sale of 2-year-olds, where he brought a winning bid of $165,000 from Sadler.
The winner was bred in Florida by Joseph Arango and is out of Gone to Paris, from the same family as multiple graded stakes winner Parisian Flight.
